I'm fired up about mully grubbed, persimmon suckin‘, bitter herb Christians. They ain't never happy and they always got aches and pains. I heard about a Christian sister recently who was happiest when her misery was the deepest. Her motto was "every silver lining has a cloud". The "woe is me" syndrome ain't scriptural.

Now if you always look for the bad in life, you are probably going to find it. Wallowing in misery just begets more misery. The Christian's motto should be, "This is the day the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it, even if it is a rotten day". Let's face it, some days are not just as good as other days, but draggin' your jaw on the ground won't make it better.

Do you think Jesus ever walked around murmuring, grumbling, and complainin' about His problems? No, and He had plenty of them. He didn't start His day by saying, "Woe is me. Today I will be rejected in Nazareth, next

week scorned by the Pharisees and in a few years, be nailed to a Roman cross.". Hebrews 12 says that "....for the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross and despised the shame...."

I once heard about a farmer who went all over town with pig slop on his boots, complainin' the whole town stunk. Well, it was him, not the town and if your whole life stinks, then the problem is you. Quit whining, ask God to forgive you (cause it's a sin) and start being thankful for all the good things you have.

I also mad as hornets over people who are always sick.....or want to be. I'm not talking about folks with some genuine illness, just those that think they are sick. You know, hipe-o-kondriaks. They're always runnin' a fever, or about to. When you talk about your illness, they've already had it or will next week.

I know one brother who gets jealous every time someone goes into the hospital. He's had so many surgeries, he's a walking breathing, scar. Folks nicknamed him Stitch. He "glories" in his infirmities, but not like the apostle Paul. Tarnation! No one wants to be around a body like that.

Land sakes, Christians, snap out of it. Life's too short to moan and mourn all day. Pack up and move out of the valley of doom and into the land of God's blessings. Thank God for the good and the bad. He is glorified as we receive His blessings and He is glorified when we faithfully endure trials.
